(EN)How the Smart Search works

The Smart Search lets you find content within Mathew quickly and accurately. Unlike a traditional search, it doesn't only look for literal matches with the content's name, but also understands the meaning of what you type (semantic search).

What can you search for?

Currently, the Smart Search lets you search through theory content and the books available on your platform.

How to search?

You don't need to type the exact title of the content to get the result you expect. You can do it in many different ways; Mathew is able to understand them!

For example, for the same topic (in this case, linear functions), you can use several phrasings:

  • "Linear functions"

  • "What is a linear function?"

  • "Solve linear function exercises"

All three searches will take you to the content related to the topic you're entering, even though they are phrased very differently.

It found the search. Now what?

When you select a result, Mathew opens the content directly at the most relevant page for your search, not necessarily the first one (the start of the content). This way, you can reach the information you need faster.

What if Mathew doesn't find what I'm looking for?

If the results don't match what you need, you can click the AI Mode button to open the chatbot and ask Mathew directly. The assistant will help you resolve your question using the information it has from the theory content you've uploaded.
