In Mathew, classes let you organise your students, making it easier to manage content, activities and assessments. Below we explain how to access your classes, how they are organised and how to create new ones easily.
Accessing “My Classes”
From the menu at the top of the platform, you can access the ‘My Classes’ section. This section shows all the classes created by the teacher, giving you an overall view of the groups you work with.
How classes are organised
Classes are shown ordered by educational stage, always starting with the earliest ones. This organisation makes navigation easier and helps you quickly find the class you need, especially when you manage several courses or subjects.
Create a new class
To create a new class, follow these steps:
Go to ‘My Classes’.
Click ‘Create class’.
Enter the basic details of the class:
Class name
Educational year
Subject
Once these fields are complete, you can continue with the class setup.
Add students to the class
Next, Mathew will let you add users to the class. You can do this in different ways:
By reusing the student list from another of your classes.
Create the class without students
If you don't want to add students at that point, that's no problem. You can create the class without students and add them later when you need to.
This is especially useful at the start of the year or when the final group of students has not yet been defined.
