STEP 1. To grade automatically, we must make sure that both an activity and a learning situation are in the FINISHED status. You can see this in the box that appears in green on the activity/learning situation itself.
STEP 2. Click the 'Grading' button to see, under 'Submissions', the total number of students who have submitted the assigned activity. Next, click the blue eye to view the list of our students with their 'Results' and how Mathew has graded them.
STEP 3. In the grading section we can see the status. The blue 'Grade' box means that, although Mathew has already done the automatic grading, it always recommends a final review using the teacher's professional judgement.
STEP 4. When we click the blue 'Grade' box, we find the exercise itself (on the left) and the corresponding score and grading feedback that Mathew provides (on the right). This is where we can edit the score by clicking 'Edit' below the numeric mark.
STEP 5. Click the blue 'Grade next exercise' button at the bottom right to continue our final review of each exercise. And finally, when we are happy with the review, we click the blue 'Finish grading' button to send the results to our students.
STEP 6. Once the grading has been sent to our students, Mathew will automatically save the results in our Tracking notebook, and we will be able to filter by 'activity', 'specific competences' or 'key competences'.
